Bangladesh is prone to floods during the monsoon season, which normally extends from June to September. In 2017, three episodes of severe flash floods affected large areas of the country, particularly the northern districts. Underprivileged people became helpless & were about to suffer from food crisis at that time. USKCAWA then came forward to the aid of flood-affected people and tried to mitigate the sufferings to some extent.
At that time, Major General Masud Razzak Tushar in Rangpur range who is one of the luminary alumni of Urea Sar Karkhana School and College, donated one lakh BDT to USKCAWA charity fund for the sake of the flood victims. He undertook the relief operation by distributing relief goods like fresh food stuff and cash aid to the flood-hit people on 27 August, 2017 in the presence of DC and OC in Lalmonirhat district.
